Garde and Taihan awarded Ausgrid 3pack Design and Construct Project

Ausgrid have appointed Garde and Taihan as contractors for its 3 pack Design and Construct Project which involves installing new 132 volt underground cables to replace existing services which are nearing the end of their service life. The general scope of work for this turnkey contract includes design, manufacture, supply, installation, jointing and termination of the following:

  • Two 132 kilovolt sub-transmission feeders 9H4 and 9H6 between Willoughby Subtransmission Station (STS) to Mosman zone substation (ZS) The route length will be approximately 6.8 km. The feeder route traverses through Willoughby, North Sydney and Mosman LGAs.

  • One 132 kilovolt power cable feeder 26C from Kingsford zone substation to Clovelly zone substation (located in Randwick). A set of spare conduits will also be installed in parallel to allow for a second future circuit. The route length will be approximately 4.1 km. The feeder route traverses through Randwick City LGA.

  • Two 132kV sub-transmission feeders 282/1 and 283/1 between TransGrid’s Sydney South Bulk Supply Point in Picnic Point and Ausgrid’s Revesby Zone Substation in Revesby. The route length will be approximately 3.3 km. The feeder route traverses through the Canterbury-Bankstown local government area (LGA).
