Garde provided services and carried out works to the Sydney Light Rail Project between September 2016 and June 2019.
Site works were focused on the Ausgrid underground distribution and transmission networks, including:
- Provision of confined space entry personnel and equipment for inspections and remedial works in Ausgrid cable jointing pits
- Work crews and non-destructive excavation equipment to expose and identify Ausgrid, Sydney Water and Jemena assets
- Provision of specialised micro-milling equipment to excavate Ausgrid 11kV assets under live conditions
- Demolition and reconstruction of Ausgrid 11kV cable jointing pits und live conditions
- Modification of Ausgrid substations
- Relocation and maintenance-free modifications to Ausgrid and Sydney Water assets
- Installation of spare electrical conduits for future use at location along George Street and Anzac Parade
- Relocation of 11kV Ausgrid assets on Alison Road
- Provision of plant, equipment and manpower resources for weekend shutdown works at various major intersections along George Street
